As supplied on most (all?) charter yachts in the Whitsundays. Gives anchorages, wind protection and ground holding, currents, etc - a must for the Whitsunday cruiser !

A guide to cruising the northern Great Barrier Reef from Bowen to Lizzard Island. Gives anchorages, depths and cautions while cruising this section of the coast.

Maps of Queensland waterways - Queensland Transport
These are excellent and are available from most chandlery shops and some Queensland Transport (marine) offices. They are usually cheaper direct from Queensland Transport (about $12). They appear to be far more accurate than the Admiralty maps. The newer electronic maps such as C-Map NT and Max have access to these maps.
Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Maps
Free from various marine outlets. A must if you are cruising in the marine park. Shows where you can/cannot fish, anchor and other activities within the marine park. Or download from www.gbrmpa.gov.au

A book giving routes and times of the year to travel and times to avoid - highly recommended !

Bluewater cruising to the Caribbean and Pacific. Good book - started on a 2 year trip but 8 years on and still only half way!
Changing Course - Cantrell
About a husband who comes home and declares to his wife "we are going to sail the world". She interviews 107? wives who have been in that situation - 103? go and the others wait for their husbands return - Liz enjoyed it.
